Building Systems That Work in the Real World
Technical leader focused on mobile, field, and operations-driven systems where reliability, clarity, and execution matter.
I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of technology and real-world operations — building and leading systems used outside of ideal conditions, where connectivity, usability, and execution actually matter.
What I Do
I help teams design, build, and deliver systems that don’t just work in theory — they work in practice.
Most of my experience has been in environments where users are in the field, conditions are unpredictable, and systems need to perform under real constraints.
- Mobile and field-based applications
- Workflow-heavy enterprise systems
- Bridging business, product, and engineering
- Turning messy processes into structured, scalable solutions
Technical Focus
Experience
- Led delivery of mobile and field applications supporting real-world operations across distributed teams.
- Conducted real-world testing in low-connectivity environments, including rural and canyon regions, to validate system performance.
- Bridged business requirements, technical implementation, and field execution across routing, telematics, and mobile platforms.
- Identified gaps between system design and real-world usage, improving reliability and usability in production.
- Mobile and cloud systems for regulated clinical workflows.
- Independent app and web development for client-facing and consumer products.
- Enterprise mobile tools, workflow systems, and technical support leadership at scale.
AI, Practically
I’m less interested in AI as hype and more interested in how it’s actually used.
The most useful applications I’ve seen aren’t about replacing work — they’re about improving how people think through it.
- Breaking down complex problems
- Improving clarity in workflows and communication
- Helping teams move faster without losing context
It’s less about automation. More about better thinking.

Outside of Work
I live and work full-time from an RV with my wife, traveling across the U.S.
That experience has shaped how I think about systems — especially how they perform outside of controlled environments.
It’s one thing for software to work in a lab. It’s another for it to work in the field.
